Yoga for the People creates opportunities for yoga teachers, organizations, and communities to foster relationships that promote wellness. We do this by offering yoga in safe, supportive environments.
Program Cycles
We offer three programming cycles to help us plan for, recruit, and train the necessary volunteers to run yoga programming. Site applications are accepted for 6-week and 12-week programs, as well as one-time and “in between” requests. The frequency of classes can be once per month or once per week, depending on the population you serve, your programming needs, and our volunteer availability.
Cost to Your Organization
Yoga for the People carries a $1 million liability policy that meets the requirements of all of our partners to date, including Denver Health and University of Denver. Our instructors carry personal insurance as well. Services are provided on a sliding scale or at no cost based on your organization's budget and the depth of programming desired.
We are also available for one-time trainings and presentations for your team on topics ranging from the health benefits of yoga, how to start a meditation practice, self-care, practicing yoga with special populations, and others.
If you are interested in yoga at your site, please complete the site application form and e-mail it to [email protected]. Due to demand for services, we are not always able to accommodate every request. If you have flexibility in your preferred times and dates, please be sure to let us know. We look forward to working with you!
