yogahealthfestivalbanner.jpgThese are exciting times for Yoga for the People! YFP has the honor of being a part of the Yoga & Health Festival - Denver, being held August 24th and 25th in the Denver City Park. The goal of the festival is to inspire a healthy lifestyle and educate people about the health benefits of yoga. This festival is timed to coincide with the beginning of the Democratic National Convention which starts August 25th, and the organizers are working to ensure that health-minded politicians will be patronizing the festival.

The entire event is geared towards ensuring that people from all socio-economic backgrounds are able to partake of the diverse array of yoga offerings, including:

• Green & Health Tradeshow & Food Vendors (free)
• Benefit Concert
• Yoga Workshops for all levels and beginners (several free)
• Conscious Film Screening
Kids Station (free) – Provided by Yoga For the People!
• Health Demonstrations

There is also a booth opportunity for local non-profits, with space being offered at the festival at the $250 non-profit rate, one-third the usual going rate (tables and chairs included). This is an excellent chance to gain a wider audience for your organization’s mission, as well as provide an occasion for your clientele to experience the benefits of yoga in a fun and energizing environment. Please contact Thomas at 303-875-4323 or email thomas@ompassyoga.com for booth information. Individual 2-day VIP Passes (gift bag included) may be purchased online at www.yogmonth.org for only $88, or may be ordered by phone by calling 310-928-3720.

Please be sure to check out the Yoga for the People booth at the Yoga Health Festival to pick up more information about our work and speak with some of our volunteer yoga teachers.
