Please join Yoga for the People to talk about yoga as a tool for transformation, for individuals, the community and the world. Delve into where yoga and social justice meet and talk about the yoga of connection, of service and of justice. Learn more about Yoga for the People and our efforts to connect volunteer teachers with nonprofit sites to bring yoga to prisons, shelters, schools, and other places where yoga can make a difference.

Friday and Saturday - World-renowned Speakers:
Speakers Martin Prechtel and Evon Peter will speak to our personal spiritual journey with an indigenous perspective that will deeply inform our understanding of our yoga practice. With the mastery of eloquence that comes from living in indigenous oral traditions, these two men will bring a great gift by expanding the life, meaning and purpose of our yoga practice.
Saturday Celebrations!
Katchie Gaaurd, voted by yoga journal as one of the top teachers bringing change into the world, will solidify these teachings of personal spiritual unfolding and community in the way most accessible to yogis - through our bodies - into the world.
Nii Armah Sowah will lead us in community celebration - Ghanaian-style. One of the foremost teachers of African singing and dance in the world today, Yogis will sing and dance in this connection and heart-inspiring celebration.
Leraine Horstmanshoff, world-renowned singer-songwriter and master of exotic musical instruments, will perform live music for yoga classes all weekend long, and lead us in a ROCKING Kirtan on Saturday night.

The room for the Thursday night Denver Health donation only classes (5:30-6:30pm) has changed for the next two weeks (April 30th and May 7th). The room change information is below:

Starting March 12, 2009, Yoga for the People will be offering 4 weekly donation only classes at Denver Health:
- Tuesdays 7:15-8:15am
- Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm
- Thursdays 7:15-8:15am
- Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm
The classes are held in the Denver Health building at 790 Delaware - Denver, CO 80204. Enter the building and go to the Sabin classroom, which is in the basement of the building (the classroom will be marked).
- Starting March 12, we will no longer have the 5:30pm class at DCIS, as we are moving it to Denver Health!

You will be guided through a balancing integration of asana, pranayama, and meditation so that you may develop a deeper awareness of your mind and body. Appropriate for all levels.10:30am-11:45am Level 2 Flow with Kate Ross In Vinyasa yoga, poses flow from one to another in conjunction with the breath ultimately creating a way for students to see that the parts or poses equal the whole, a sequence, on and off the mat. Kate teaches a variety of styles within the Vinyasa tradition in order to meet the needs of her class. She brings warmth, serenity, and humor together to give each class a unique experience. Kate’s class allows members to leave class with increased calmness, energy, and self-confidence.
